Design is problem solving. Problems may share common elements, but ultimately each is unique, and requires a unique solution.
This represents some of my older work. The more recent stuff is
client-access only, so I'm afraid you'll have to take my word for the fact that it's just
wonderful. If you want to see my most recent personal work, check out The Church of Me.

Screenshots can't give the full flavor of an interactive experience, so I've linked the images on this page to local versions of some of the sites I've worked on. That is, these are my own copies of the actual sites. Some are complete and some have been edited for size.
(Be aware: Though searching and ecommerce are disabled, some links may take you away from here to the "live" sites. You'll be able to return here by repeatedly hitting the "back" button on your browser.)

Finite State Machine Labs, Inc., is the creator and distributor of RTLinux, a hard real-time computer operating system. As marketing director for FSMLabs, I was responsible for three sites: rtlinux.com, the main product site; rtlinux.org, the RTLinux user community site; and fsmlabs.com, the corporate site. rtlinux.com is the most recent, as well as the most complex.

mystupidlife.com is a personal site which I use as a form of anger management, in the same manner that many people use road rage or alcoholism. This link will take you to a snapshot of the site as of 08/15/01. The "real" version can be found at www.mystupidlife.com.

"Alcatraz Avenue" is an independent feature film written and directed by Tom Edgar (edgar@lather.com). The film premiered October 2000 at the AFI Film Fest in Hollywood. In addition to casting me as Hall Contreras (the bad guy), Tom also allowed me to do some redesign work on the site.

Juline Beier makes unique hand-painted wearable silk art. I designed a simple site, believing the work speaks for itself. When you're done here, surf, do not swim, over to www.julinedesigns.com, where you can actually purchase Juline's beautiful art. I created the site working from slides of Juline's work.

Joe Paulino and Juline Beier have hosted a pre-New Year's Eve percussion party for more than ten years. The website celebrates the people who've made it so wonderful and showcases Joe's unique invitations to each year's event. Joe sent me pictures, text and a basic structural layout, from which I constructed the site.
